| The International Expandable
Users Group Association (IEUGA) staged its
annual Expandable Users Conference May 18-20
at the Hilton Financial District in San Francisco. The conference, titled Expandability
2008, brought together Expandable personnel, customers
and business partners for
three days of roundtable discussions, learning
sessions, networking events and presentations.
The theme of Expandability 2008 was "Shaping the Future." |

| "We design the Expandable users conference to connect users of the Expandable system with each other and with Expandable personnel to share insights, direction and best practices," said Jan Young, president of the IEUGA. "This year's conference focused on the 'direction' aspect of the mix because it coincided with Expandable's initiative to gather market input for its product roadmap. There's no better source of product guidance than the user base." |
| The conference took place
over three days of keynotes, breakout sessions
and events. Conference activities began on
Sunday May 18th with networking excursions
arranged to bring attendees with similar interests
together to enjoy local attractions. Pre-conference
events included a golf tournament at the prestigous Presidio golf course, and a "meet
and greet" welcome reception hosted by
Expandable Software, Inc. |
Kicking off the conference was Mike Hourigan, "the workplace commentator" who set the tone for the Expandability 2008 with a motivating presentation that applied his unique style of humor to illustrate the positive aspects of change. |
| Conference breakout sessions covered
a broad range of topics focused on optimizing
use of the Expandable system, and included
presentations by Expandable customers, Expandable
personnel and Expandable business partners.
The conference featured a special set of Roadmap Roundtable sessions, a "Tips and Tricks Track" and a "Data Collection Series" of sessions highlighting the different ways inventory scanning technology can be used with Expandable to reduce errors and increase productivity. |
| The mid-conference Monday
Night Mixer brought conference attendees together
for a unique dinner at Palio 'd Asti in downtown San Francisco. "Our goal for the
dinner party was to provide a fun yet professional
networking opportunity for conference participants
to connect in a relaxed environment outside
of the conference center," said IEUGA Events Chair Tina Murrell. |
| The annual Expandable
User Conference is sponsored by the International
Expandable Users Group Association (IEUGA),
an independent, non-profit organization who's
mission is to promote the exchange of information
between users of Expandable Software, Inc.'s
ERP system for growing manufacturers. The
IEUGA is run by Expandable customers who volunteer
their time to sit on the board of directors. |
