Raising the Limit
The International Expandable Users Group Association (IEUGA) staged its annual Expandable Users Conference May 6-8 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The conference, titled Expandability 2007 brought together Expandable customers, business partners and representatives for three days of roundtable discussions, learning sessions, networking events and presentations. The theme of Expandability 2007 was "Raising the Limit."
"At our companies we constantly strive to make each business cycle more and more productive," explained IEUGA President Susan Town of ECCO in Boise, Idaho. "To drive growth we consistently set our business and professional goals higher and higher each term. In short, we're always 'raising the limit' to become smarter, more efficient, more productive, and more profitable. This year's conference was constructed to focus on how we use our business systems to raise the limit on productivity by streamlining processes and automating repetitive tasks."
The conference took place over three days of keynotes, breakout sessions and events. Conference activities began on Sunday May 6th with networking excursions arranged to bring attendees with similar interests together to enjoy local attractions. Pre-conference events included a golf tournament, and a "meet and greet" welcome reception hosted by Expandable Software, Inc.

Improvisational comedian Joel Zeff kicked off the conference sessions on Monday May 7th with a presentation that applied his unique style of humor to illustrate how the power of fun can inspire creativity, communication and teamwork in the workplace.

Conference breakout sessions covered a broad range of topics focused on optimizing use of the Expandable system, and included presentations by Expandable customers, Expandable personnel and Expandable business partners. A special Sarbanes-Oxley track included three sessions that focused on overcoming the challenges posed by the Sarbances-Oxley act. The special track featured a panel discussion with SOx experts and Expandable customers who have completed compliance initiatives.
The mid-conference Monday Night Mixer brought conference attendees together for a unique dinner at Pampas Brazilian Grille on the Miracle Mile at Planet Hollywood on the Las Vegas Strip. "Our goal for the dinner party was to provide a fun yet professional networking opportunity for conference participants to connect in a relaxed environment outside of the conference center," said IEUGA Events Chair Steve Traynor.
The annual Expandable User Conference is sponsored by the International Expandable Users Group Association (IEUGA), an independent, non-profit organization who's mission is to promote the exchange of information between users of Expandable Software, Inc.'s ERP system for growing manufacturers. The IEUGA is run by Expandable customers who volunteer their time to sit on the board of directors.
